This fabulous home was completely refurbished and professionally decorated in 2004 with Tommy Bahama style furniture maintaining the original charm of the era. The visitor was the focus of the renovation making sure that the home would be fun and relaxing for vacationing.

You have the optional use of the services of a houseman, private masseuse and housekeeper if you so desire. The houseman will arrange to cater and or bartend any entertaining you are planning.

PRIVATE OUTDOOR LIVING
This home features an outdoor living area that is fully walled and secure offering absolute privacy amid lush tropical landscaping and mature citrus trees. A custom salt water swimming pool with Eight-person spa and waterfall are featured. A raised sundeck allows sunbathing while enjoying beautiful mountain views. The patio provides a perfect area for entertaining with a glass top table that accommodates eight and an island-bar complete with built-in gas BBQ, refrigerator and covered by a palapa to help keep you cool. Enjoy the retro garden ambiance throwback to the mid-century Tiki gardens while listening to the sounds of Martin Denny & Arthur Lyman.

THE GREAT ROOM
The great room has been decorated in the style of Trader Vic’s with grass mat ceilings, a big stone fireplace and bamboo floors. This room boasts a state of the art Media Center, providing multi-source audio entertainment throughout the house and poolside. There is a complete home theater system with a 50” theatre wide-screen and surround-sound, which can be enjoyed using HDTV Cable, DVD, or Video. The entire Media Center is easily operated utilizing one simple remote so that the technologically challenged can watch the evening news or a movie without reading an instruction manual.

An entertainment bar is stocked with a wide selection of DVDs beginning with classic films to today’s genre. A selection of CD’s are also available including Hawaiian and some mid-century classics. Additionally there is a game table as well as board games, cards and bingo.

WiFi internet access is included allowing you to keep in touch with friends at home or the office while anywhere in the house as well as poolside.

DINING AT HOME
On those occasions you prefer to stay home to dine or entertain, the gourmet kitchen is a cook’s delight. It has been outfitted with all new stainless appliances including a gas cook-top, electric oven, microwave/convection oven, wine refrigerator, a noiseless dishwasher and granite countertops. The kitchen comes fully furnished with all the cooking utensils, dishes flatware serving pieces, and linens to comfortably dine at home. The kitchen and dinning area are referred to as “the monkey room” due to the red monkey wallpaper and whimsical monkeys hanging around. Dining in the glass atrium gives a new meaning to al fresco as you are protected from the elements but feel as though you are outside. Morning news junkies can enjoy your morning cup in the kitchen atrium and catch the world happenings via a wall mounted flat screen plasma television.

LUXURIOUS SLEEPING FOR EIGHT
The home has two suites with en-suite private bathrooms and two additional bedrooms, which share a bath between them. All bedrooms have direct outdoor access to the gardens and pool. All mattresses are pillow-top and linens are high quality/high thread count offering maximum comfort. All bedding is hypo-allergenic. A phone and a television with DVD and/or VHS player are included in each of the bedrooms and each room is uniquely decorated.

CELEBRITY KING SUITE
The Celebrity King suite has its own private meditation garden and Spa bathroom with Roman style spa tub. The bath opens to the meditation garden so that you may shower in the open air garden. The suite also has a separate private patio with access to the pool area. The room provides a 31” television with DVD/VCR.

CARIBBEAN SUITE
The Caribbean Queen Suite has a walk in shower and soaking tub and overlooks the aquamarine saltwater pool. The room is decorated with a Caribbean influence with original artwork from St. Thomas.

OUT OF AFRICA BEDROOM
The Out-Of-Africa Queen Bedroom has direct access to the shared bath. It is decorated with an African influence and has direct outdoor access with a private patio flagstone patio area.

HAWAII ROOM
The Hawaii Twin-bedroom has been decorated with a Hawaiian motif complete with grass bed skirts and 1950’s Waikiki posters. The room has a small flagstone patio for the guests to enjoy a quiet morning cup of coffee.

NEARBY
This home is located in one of South Palm Desert’s finest areas and is only a two block walk to the famous El Paseo Boulevard where you’ll find fine shops, restaurants and art galleries. In addition, the new popular entertainment center, River Walk, is a five minute drive away as is the McCallum Theatre. Great bargains can be found at COD (College of the Desert) swap meet on weekends. The area is surrounded by activities include golf with over 100 courses in the vicinity, tennis, hiking, spas, mineral baths, museums, casinos and nightlife.
