- Just 35 minutes from Santa Monica is a place of wild beauty and serenity. Our cottage sits among a new grove of olives and looks out over the beautiful blue Pacific. The cottage is entirely separate from the main building and is completely private. Trails run from the house up into the Santa Monica Mountains, all the way to the Backbone Trail -- the spine of the west for hikers, runners, and riders. Surfing, swimming and kayaking are all to be found at Zuma Beach which is minutes away. Local vineyards offer tastings, and the produce from local farms is available on a seasonal basis, shopping and restaurants and movies theaters can be found 10 minutes away. But if you want to escape the world our cottage is the perfect venue. A candle-lit dinner dinner in the garden by the outdoor fireplace with the moon and stars shining down on the ocean... returning from the beach to shower outside among the roses and hummingbirds... time to enjoy each other in peace and privacy... The cottage offers a beautiful setting for romance at any time of year.
- Bed arrangement:
- The main bedroom can sleep 2 in the queen bed and another person in one of the daybeds. During the warmer months 2 more people can sleep on the daybeds in the screened verandah. The main bedroom is heated (as are the kitchen and bathroom,) the screened verandah is not.
